We are a veteran owned company headquartered in sunny San
Clemente, California.
Our Mission Statement focuses on three main areas:
Product Mission:
To distribute and sell the finest quality solar and wind energy
products worldwide that support our continued commitment to
promote energy conservation while respecting the Earth and
improving the Environment.
Social Mission:
To manage our company in a way that recognizes the key role
that business has in society and offer solutions that improve
the quality of life for people locally, nationally and internationally.
Economic Mission:
To operate our Company on a sustainable financial basis of
profitable growth while increasing value.
Our Team:
Alex Echeverria
President
In 1995, Alex began his journey by fulfilling a life long
dream of serving his country. After spending ten and a half
years as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps and participating
in Operation Iraqi Freedom, he had met his goal and was ready
to begin a new chapter. He has always had a love and profound
respect for the outdoors and he wanted to do something positive
for the environment. In order to fulfill this dream, he decided
to start his own business and founded Compass Energy Solutions.
His vision is to provide solutions that meet our society's
growing energy demands and have a positive impact on the environment
while leading to a better quality of life for people everywhere.
Aside from his military service, he has spent over eight years
in international sales and management positions, the last of
which has been as a Business Development Manager and Program
Manager for one of the largest aerospace companies in the world.
He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University
of CA, San Diego, and a Masters of Science in Administration
from Central Michigan University. He is fluent in English,
Spanish and Portuguese.
Soraya Echeverria
Vice-President
Throughout the years, Soraya also developed a love for the
outdoors. She always wanted to contribute somehow to preserving
this beautiful planet for generations to come. Together, Alex
and Soraya founded Compass Energy Solutions with the goal of
improving the environment and contributing to a better quality
of life for their children. Soraya has a Bachelor of Arts in
Mass Communications (Public Relations) from the University
of South Florida in Tampa, Florida and a Masters of Science
in Administration from Central Michigan University. She has
over fifteen years of experience in sales and marketing of
which the last seven years have been with one of the largest
pharmaceutical companies in the world. She is fluent in English,
French, Spanish and Portuguese.
Leonard Duncan Schwartz
Sales Manager
Leonard was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and lived in Rio
de Janeiro, Brazil. At the age of six, he moved to the United
States, the country he calls home. He has always been very
interested in how things work, and at a young age, he began
taking apart anything he could get his hands on only to have
the pleasure of putting it back together again. In 2000, he
completed his MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) certification,
and since then, he has owned and operated his own successful
network and PC repair consulting company in Southern California.
He is still currently active in the technical community and
continues to increase his knowledge of new emerging technologies.
As the years went by, he developed a passion for renewable
energy resources that can help improve the Environment. His
vision is to help our customers increase their awareness of
renewable energy options and find them the perfect solution.
Shane Ruiz
Sales Manager
In early 2004, Shane enlisted as an Infantryman in the United
States Army. He served under the command of 2nd Battalion,
10th Mountain Division. While in the Army, he became a radio
operator where he developed his skills with satellite communication
and various FM radios. In 2006, after only two and half years
of service, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and led
a 4-6 man team in the harshest environment of Afghanistan during
Operation Enduring Freedom. He was part of several high profile
security missions and has four years experience with various
types of military communications systems. In the few short
years he spent in the Army, he was awarded the Purple Heart,
among many other awards. While in Afghanistan, the Army's dependence
on gasoline generators and the challenges they presented, lead
Shane to develop a strong interest in renewable energy products.
Now that he has begun a new facet in his life, he is pleased
to have joined Compass Energy Solutions and their commitment
to energy conservation.
